York College, located in Jamaica, Queens is one of 11 eleven senior colleges in the City University of New York. York was founded in 1967 and enrolls approximately 6,700 students. The college offers over 40 baccalaureate degrees as well as a master’s in occupational therapy.
York College, home of the Cardinals, competes in NCAA Division III competition and is part of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC). The Cardinals also compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the Northeast Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA). York College offers 15 varsity sports:

The Cardinals have captured 23 CUNYAC Championships in their history, with the most coming from Men’s Outdoor Track with six.

Athletic Eligibility To be eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics, a student must: • Meet the admissions requirements of the college. • Be a full-time matriculated student carrying at least 12 degree credits (or equated credits). • Meet the minimum requirements for good academic standing and making reasonable progress toward a degree. • Comply with NCAA Division III rules and regulations, as well as meeting conference eligibility requirements. Student-athletes are eligible to compete for four seasons of intercollegiate competition in any one sport, spanning 10 full-time semesters (15 quarters) of college attendance.
