Men’s Cross Country Finishes Fifth at CUNYAC Championships

BRONX, NY— The York College men's cross country team scored 130 points and earned a fifth place finish at the CUNY Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday morning in the Bronx.   The Hunter College Hawks, won the championship, scoring 34 points.

 

Leading the way for York was junior Kenny Jacquet, who earned a ninth place finish in the 8k race with a time of 31:09.  Ronel Phillip added a 17th place finish with a personal best time of 31:44.   Freshman Tarik Weekes placed 26th with a time of 32:49. 

 

Chris Guerrero of Hunter College won the race in a time of 28:42 to lead Hunter College its 12th CUNYAC title.
