Men's Tennis to Hold Tryouts January 6th and 20th

JAMAICA, NY—The York College men’s tennis team will hold tryouts for the 2010 season on January 6th and January 20th from 12-4 p.m. in the York College gymnasium. All players interested in trying out for the team should attend.

JAMAICA, NY – The York College men’s tennis team finished up regular season play Saturday, falling to NYU-Polytechnic by a score of 7-2. 

 

York picked up one win in both singles and doubles.  At third doubles, Erick Giron and Kenan Kajtezovic earned an 8-5 victory, while Charlton Distin won 7-6, 6-4 at fourth singles.

JAMAICA, NY – The Hunter College Hawks proved to be too much for the Cardinals tennis team Wednesday afternoon, defeating York by a 9-0 score in a CUNY Athletic Conference match.

JAMAICA, NY – Ayman Busat was the lone winner for York on Sunday as the Cardinals fell to Yeshiva University 8-1 in a non-conference match. 

 

Busat won a third-set tiebreaker over Yeshiva’s Joseph Itkis at first singles—7-6, 6-7 10-5— to notch York’s only win of the day. The Maccabees took the remaining five singles matches and swept doubles play.
