Kadisha Wickham

JAMAICA, NY— York College sophomore center, Kadisha Wickham has been named both the CUNY Athletic Conference Player of the Week and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro Division Player of the Week for the period ending January 10, 2010.

Wickham opened the week with a 22-point, 20 rebound, eight steal performance in a non-conference tilt against John Jay College, which was played at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.  On Wednesday, against Medgar Evers College, Wickham flirted with a triple-double once again, scoring 19 points, grabbing 18 boards and swiping seven steals.  Then on Saturday, against the College of Staten Island, Wickham capped off the week with her best performance of the season, scoring a career-high 29 points and grabbing a career-high 24 rebounds, while also making five steals and blocking six shots.

The Lady Cardinals went 2-1 on the week, defeating John Jay and Medgar Evers and narrowly losing to the CSI. She also ranks 14th in the nation in rebounds and 13th in steals.
