Men’s Tennis Edges Webb Institute 6-3

JAMAICA, NY – The York College men's tennis team earned a hard-fought victory over Webb Institute in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon. The match was tightly contested, with all three doubles matches decided by two games and two of the singles matches going into a third-set tie-break.
At first singles, Ayman Busat defeated Michael Chong 7-5, 5-7 (10-3), while Asandoh Jones picked up the victory at sixth singles, winning 6-3, 1-6 (12-10). At second doubles, Michael Lateef and Hugo D'Oliveira won 9-7 over Tedi Derickson and Dale Pederson.
With the win, York improves to 4-5 on the season. They will host Lehman College on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
