Geffrard, Williams Lead York to Sweep of Yeshiva

NEW YORK, N.Y.— York freshman outside hitter Edner Geffrard slammed 13 kills and hit .524 to lead the Cardinals to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-22) victory over Yeshiva University on Thursday night.  Despite Geffard's impressive night, junior Bryan Williams actually outhit Geffrard on the night, slamming eight kills on 11 attempts for a .636 hitting percentage. 

Sebastian Francois added eight kills (.357), setter Jon Peter Sardea registered 36 assists and five digs and libero Terrence Sutton chipped in a match-high 14 digs for York. Yeshiva was led by Raphael Herskovits who had nine kills. 
 
The Cardinals are now 2-1 on the season and will have a quick turnaround, as they will play both NYU-Polytechnic and Lancaster Bible College on Friday before taking on John Jay College on Saturday afternoon.
