NEW PALTZ, NY— After winning its first two games, the York College women’s basketball team struggled in the the opening round of the SUNY New Paltz Tip-Off Tournament and fell to Farmingdale State College 72-45 on Friday afternoon.

WESTBURY, NY–  Marcel Esonwune recorded a double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, while also blocking four shots but it was not enough as the York College men’s basketball team fell to SUNY Old Westbury 85-78 in the opening game of the 2009-10 season.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY— Four players scored in double figures as the York College women’s basketball team went on to rout the College of New Rochelle 78-33 on Tuesday evening to improve to 2-0 on the year.

JAMAICA, NY— The York College men’s and women’s swim teams each earned a victory over SUNY Old Westbury, while the women also topped the College of New Rochelle in a tri-meet at York College Monday evening.  The women topped Old Westbury 107-89 and New Rochelle 58-48, while the men defeated Old Westbury 113-86.
