York Holds 35th Annual Athletics Award Dinner
The York College athletics program held its 35th annual awards dinner Monday evening and handed out a number of awards to some deserving student-athletes.  Marcel Esonwune of the men’s basketball team and Kadisha Wickham of the women’s basketball team and track and field team were named the 2010 York College Athletes of the Year.

York’s Elysee Vilsaint Named ECAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year; Jaime Hay Named to First Team

JAMAICA, NY— York College soccer standout Elysee Vilsaint has another award to place on his mantle. The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2009 Division III All-Metro Region Men’s Soccer Team and Vilsaint has been named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year. York freshman defender Jaime Hay was also named to the first team.

Vilsaint Wins Second Straight CUNYAC Player of the Year Award; Four Other Cardinals Named to All-Star Team
JAMAICA, NY— For the second consecutive year, York College junior Elysee Vilsaint has been named the CUNY Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Year.  Also earning recognition from York was Jaime Hay and Francisco Florez, who were named to the First Team, and Hugo Cicanois and Ousmane Toure, who earned second-team honors.

York Eliminated by Stevens in NCAA First Round

HOBOKEN, NJ – The York College men’s soccer team fought hard but fell to Stevens Institute of Technology by a score of 2-0 in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Tournament Thursday evening.

York Men’s Soccer to Face Stevens in NCAA First Round
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Pairings for the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship were announced Monday morning and York College, the automatic qualifier out of the CUNY Athletic Conference, will visit Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. on Thursday at 6 p.m.

YORK WINS 2009 CUNYAC MEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
STATEN ISLAND, NY– The York College men’s soccer team defeated Hunter College, 1-0, to win the 2009 CUNY Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship on Saturday afternoon.  The Cardinals have now won their sixth CUNYAC Championship, the most of any CUNYAC school, and will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
