SPRINGFIELD, MA— York College sophomore Kadisha Wickham ran a time of 24.67 to win the 200-meter dash at the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships on Friday. Her time of 24.67 was an NCAA provisional qualifying time and was just one tenth of a second away from an automatic qualifying time. She currently has the sixth best time in the 200-meter dash in NCAA Division III, and in all likelihood, will qualify for the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The Lady Cardinals also made a strong showing in the 4 x 100 meter relay. The team of Alexandra Nkrumah, Denicia Gardiner, Allana Wilson and Wickham ran a time of 49.52 which was good enough for sixth place.
The NCAA Championships will take place from May 27-29, 2010 at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
