Spirit Week to Be Capped off with Jet Blue Ticket Giveaway During Feb. 8 Basketball Doubleheader
York College's campus-wide Spirit Week is set to kick off on February 2, with a week-long set of activities around the York campus. Spirit Week will culminate during the February 8
th men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Brooklyn College, where two pairs of Jet Blue tickets will be given away.
But wait, there's more! In addition to the set of Jet Blue tickets, an Applebee's gift card, as well as a number of t-shirts will be given away.
The event will also feature the debut of the “The Funkateers” Pep Band. The York College band will be playing live music during time-outs of the game to pump the crowd up and give the game a true college basketball feel.
The women's game will tip-off at 6 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 8:00 p.m. These events will also be held in conjunction with the men's basketball senior night. All the senior members of the Cardinals squad will be honored prior to the start of the game.
Applebee's gift cards will also be given away during the basketball team's doubleheaders against Medgar Evers College on February 3 and against the College of Staten Island on February 6. Both those doubleheaders tip-off at 6 p.m and 8 p.m. as well.
