York Indoor Track & Field Opens Season at CTC Relays

RESULTS

HUNTINGTON, NY— The York College Indoor Track and Field teams opened up the 2012-13 season at the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Relays held at St. Anthony's High School in Huntington, NY on Sunday afternoon.  There was no team scoring in the event but there were a number of notable individual finishes by the Cardinals.

Freshman Michael Tomlin led York with a fourth-place finish in the men's triple jump as he recorded a distance of 12.56 meters.  Later, Tomlin would place 12th in the long jump with a distance of 5.74 meters.

In track events, freshman Ricardo Chammoro placed tenth (5:27.51) and senior Jason Shaw was 11th (5:31.70) in the mile run.  The men's 4x400 relay
team placed seventh with a time of 3:40.57.

The women were led by Shanice Brown, who finished 11th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.73. 

York will return to action on Friday when they run at the Pratt Invitational at 5:00 p.m.
